engine swap ideas?
hey all im in the preliminarys of swapping the motor on this neon but was curious on what you guys think would be a better swap my first option is using some parts i already have i plan on a rear wheel drive swap.
first option is using my 348 stroker i got laying around a older dakota rack and pinon tf727 and 8 3/4 rear open dif i have some other misc parts but thats the majors
or i can look for something else since i found a place i can get wrecked newer vechicles for fairly cheap 3-5 grand. crossfire v-6 maybe a caliber awd? what would you guys think would be i better idea the first option drops me out of the smog arena but i do believe a newer motor such has those maintaing smog equip should pass bar its a 05 neon and id rather not go the srt route alittle common. i know both require massive mods but it has been done before and ive toyed with a v8 isuzu swap i did a while back so its possible for me to do it

its a toss up but id like some input i wonder if i could find a cross fire rt ive seen first gens with all sorts of swaps 440's subi motors and i know the biggest interior mod is the driveshaft tunnel all were the case perhaps a crossfire may be a better choice good to find a srt front clip and try and scavange has much has possible possibly retrofitting the cross fire crossmember and front suspension to the neon smaller v-6 means less of a clearance issue with the front radiator
