when I installed the optima i moved it to the trunk so it has all new ground strap and new cables.

I see, why dont you check the connections and cables, one might have came loose? it's a possibility

been there a thousand times and even the tech checked it too and he dont knw what is going on. the only thing he can come up with is something wrong with the computer

try connecting the batt up like it was stock and see what happens? and a computer problem is possible too. but I doubt it

Lmao. No, IDK where you live, but I live in NJ.. hmmm... you checked both pannels... all the fuses... all the batt connections.... you try looking at the alternator?

in december after having a really bad bad cold snap my alt stoped working and fried my batt hence the new optima and a brandy new alt...however i know that they can go even when new so I will check tomorrow...thanks
