The autos in the neons shift really smoothly. Only issue I've had was the transmission not being able to decide which gear to go into when I was driving uphill at around 70 miles per hour. Ended up staying at around 4,500 RPM for a while.

The C4 transmission they put in Fords are pretty nice too. And the C6 which is just a beefed up version.

It was annoying because I would speed up and it would shift, but lose power because of the RPM it was at, slow down, down shift, and same thing again. The drive from Laughlin back to Las Vegas is mostly uphill so it was for a good half hour.

I heard its tough to use Neons in the mountains. Even on the paved roads going up them. True?

just on a little side note if you wanna make your auto run smoother start pulling weight out of the car. you would be amazed at what 100lbs feels like
