its not a matter of not having common sense, he just didn't know, thats why he asked. as for cuttin them DON'T do it very terrible ride, there are more springs out there that will give you a more dramatic drop. my springs no one else has on here (i think)and there are pretty good quality and i got a pretty good drop out of them. they are supposed to give a 2" drop but i didn't really measure...

thanks for the replies, i havent even bought new springs yet,i was just thinkin if all i could find was a 1.5 drop,and it wasnt
"low enunff" i could chop them,but i see now that isnt a good idea.

1.5 inches will give you a moderate drop, it looks good, really. i wouldnt go lower than 2 inches though

springs nowadays are a special heat treated material, so that if you ended up trying to cut them, the heat created would mess them up and they would no lonet spring. it would be basicallt like putting a steel rod there instead of your spring
