The only difference is if you hook it to the parking lights, it will come on with your parking lights. If you hook to your headlights, it won't come on until your headlights come on. So if you want your halos on without your headlights on you better hook it to the parking lights.

don't the turn signal (amber parking lights) light up with AND without the headlights....stock you can turn on the parking light (also turn signal) with one click, then the next they light up along with the headlight. I'm looking to buy the projectors for the 03+ this week, isn't that how they work? Wouldn't you be able to just hook the halos up so that they light up either by themselves AND with the headlights?

yea, thats what he just said... i tried it to see what he was talking about... when i wire it to the headlights, the halos only came on when i turn the healdights on and with the parking lights, it did the same but you can chose between to wires to connect the red wire to after you already connected the black ground wire. i tried each one. one wire i turn the parking lights on and it came on and the other i did it with the other wire but when i turn the parking lights on it did come on, but when i put the signal light on it came on and it was blinking.. =\ now my neighbor has a 2000 honda civic.. same headlights as me and he saw my halos and was wondering how i did mines cuz he wants his to work too.. i'm thinking about telling him LOL

i meant for the halos to be on both by themselves when you turn the parking lights on and remain on when you turn the headlights on...maybe i;m misunderstanding the post but it seems like you are doing one or the other NOT both. you wouldn't want the halo to blink lol that would look kinda weird lol. like lets say for instance you turn on your parking signal lights, the halos would be on, then when you turn on the headlights the halos would remain on, but not blink with the turn signal. A friend of mine had it set up that way on his camaro, is that how yours are? i have an 03 and you have an earlier 2nd gen, i wonder if that makes any difference at all. what do you have to say mikey? or am i just not understanding the post.....i haven't looked at the wires for theheadlightsor anything so i think im misunderstanding something
