Pretty much all the same. Just a bent pipe, smoothed on the inside. Like AirWolf said, the main thing about the intakes are the filters. And all I know is that K&N make some of the best, if not the best around.

Yes I have had some of the name brands like in my 96 before I went turbo I had a iceman and now a I have a ebay intake in the 1st gen and a ebay one in my 2nd gen both with a k&n filter. I also had the typhoon in the sxt for awhile and didnt like it so name brands arent always cut out what they meant to be.

I installed the AEM CAI on my 2004 SXT w/ auto and it was an easy fit. I was going to install the AEM bypass valve but couldn't find a good spot to cut and install so I contacted AEM. AEM told me that the CAI for the 2nd gen neon wasn't designed to allow for the use of a bypass valve (won't fit anywhere), so I took their word and returned it.

lol, I just did the same thing last night. Canceled my order for the bypass vavle because I felt as though I didnt need it. It only rains here in south jersey like half the time out of the year or less, and the filter would never be submerged in any type of water or fluid for that matter, AND I watch out for big puddles!
