Clean a TB?

RE: Clean a TB?
I was just thinking about doing that the other day. I have seen it done before. You really want your entire Intake system cleaned. The dirt from your TB will track into your intake manifold as well. When you take it to a shop they have like 4 different chemicals for cleaning the system. They have this machine that sprays its in and all the way back to your intake manifold. Without the right tools I think it would be a pain. I could be wrong though.

Eeeeekkk! Don't use carburetor cleaner! I have heard this from a few mechanics. TBs have this coding in them that the carb cleaner will eat right off. The coating is there for a reason too haha.
Like what spikey said...it really depends on how many miles are on your car. The only place I have seen cleaning your "Intake system" is in car tips to give your car more gas mileage. Which would add some horse power back.
