Default check engine light code P0522

I looked it up and it said:

P0522 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Voltage

What could the problem be?

Edit. I was reading up on some threads and I read that some people had this problem when they were low on oil. I've been letting my oil get too low and I noticed my oil light came on a few times, but when I restarted, it went away. Could the fact that I am extremely low on oil cause it to spit out that code?

try putting some oil in it to where its supposed to be. if that dont fix the problem, at least you will be keeping proper maintenence on the car, which is what you should be doing anyway

Did you check your oil? Just because the oil isn't hitting the ground don't mean it ain't leakin.

I just bought my '04 Neon 6 days ago, had the oil changed 4 days ago, I can assure you, I am NOT low on oil. This code came up, plus code P0572 /Brake switch A circuit low. Is it a fuse thing?? the engine malfunction light came on while I was driving to work, and stays on now.

any more suggestions?

Bad oil pressure sensor. $10 at Dodge. As for the P0572, do your brake lights work correctly?

Question

Well the 522 code resolved on its' own, I checked the codes again tonight and only the 572 code is left. I checked my lights and yes, they all work correctly. What am I missing?
