Default magnum head

ok im sure this has been answered time and time again but im just gonna ask it again. what makes the magnum head so good. aside from the more aggressive cam, what does it have over a regular head. how does it flow better? also, this is prob a stupid question, but will it bolt up to the regular block? what is needed to make that work

spike, im not sure of the differences, but if you really want a R/T why dont you just swap in a magnum engine?

im sure that it would be easier than buying all the stuff and putting it onto the regular 2.0 engine...

im building up my 2.0, and im doing the bottom first, but ill rebuild the top end later on. if the magnum is really much better, and will bolt right up, ill try to build one of those, if not, i can just do the regular one. im just trying to get info on stuff now. thanks for the link to the intake manifold too, im gonna buy it from that guy on .org

The only differences from a magnum to a non-magnum is the Head, Cam, ECU, Intake Manifold, and Exhaust Manifold. The bottom end is exactly the same. The R/T & ACR create more horsepower with all combined parts, so swapping just a few may not get you the horsepower you expect.

The magnum head does flow better.(not by much) The cam's specs are about the same as the Crane 10.

It will fit on your block with no problems. Just remember the cam magnets are different in the 00-02 vs. the 03+ so if you get an old head make sure you use your stock cam magnet.

ok so what im getting here is that since the head that i will rebuild will be ported and polished, and a new cam, there is no need for a magnum head. thanks
