Hey guys, does anyone know what's the color of the wire for a tach signal? I just got mine in today and i'm planning on wiring it up... I have a 04 neon... thanks guys...

nevermind, i found it it was the black/grey wire at the ignition coil....

yeah, i'm getting a good reading.... only time is when it's at around 1k or lower where it'll flicker. But other that that, it's all good.

It's an external tach
Sunpro 3-1/2 inch Performance Tachometer CP2012... took me like 20mins to hook it up... it was pretty easy and straightforward. I didn't want to get a cluster w/tachbecause i already got my reverse glow overlay for my guages already.

nope, i got one from sunpro which lets you adjust to 2 cylinder setting so i don't need the adapter...

wait... i assume that the msd tach adaptor is for converting 4 cylinder to 2 cylinder reading? if that's the case i don't need one... but as far as the wiring i just tap it into the black/grey wire going into the ignition coil.

i just bought one cus mine needs it, i had it for 6 months and i barely got da adapter, plus i got it for 28 bucks shipped
