Default Paint

I was talking to a friend of mine about how I want to paint my car white or black...
He said that I should just leave it silver because if I get it painted it'll mess up all the seals and the interior will look mismatched.
In the end I want to paint me 2k neon white and have tinted windows and black rims.
Anyway, I'd like some other opinions on this e_e

When you paint a car, you paint the doorjams and everything...

Don't paint it black, it shows every imperfection and ding.

Do us all a favor and go PYH FTMFW

What if there's no dings or imperfections in it to begin with? Snap.

if u get some profesional to do it for ya then paint it black, silvers a better color than white so in my opinion if ur leanin towards white just leave it as it is, repaint it same color if its fading or just save ur money and spend it on somethin else for ur car

Well, it's up to you... if you're willing to put in "a lot" of time to make your car look good.... then black is the way to go... and it look nice too... but then if you don't paint the doorjam and stuff it'll look bad... and make sure you have a professional do it for you and have them put in enough clear coat... My gf's dodge neon was silver but then after an accident they painted it black and it's horrible... they didn't put in the clear coat either... and some paint in the door jam is peeling off so you can see the silver underneath. Also... when you open the hood and have the interior of the hood and engine bay silver then it's not gonna look good. So overall I vote for keeping the silver... or repaint it silver if it's not looking new anymore.

Why should I listen to you? You have a silver car! heh

By the interior he meant the seats and upholstery and all, it'd be mismatched to white or black exterior...don't know why but hey.
So the seals should all be fine? Anyone else think silver is better than white?
The first neon I ever looked into buying was a white 2k with black rims and tinted windows. That car really grabbed me D:

I think the black looks badass. Silver is boring, no offense [sm=sorry.gif]and white is so-so. Just my personal opinion. And there is no way your interior will look mismatched with the exterior, its black or white for goodness sake! Those colors match everything!!! Whats your interior color anyways?

It all comes down to individual preferences... Although I do like my silver [8D]but black and white look their best only if they're well kept (which is pretty hard). There's so many white cars around my town but none of them looks good because they all have a yellowish color to them because of the dirt around... but a new pure white car do look nice
