well my car was in the shop today getting the CV rebuilt, and while it was on the lift i noticed that there was a cracked hose, i think it was going to the evap canister (i think thats what its called). it wasn't on the little box by the rear wheel, buton the larger box that is behind it. anyway i got that replaced as it was cracked pretty bad at both ends. then i noticed that the splash shield that covers my pulley was rubbing against the cover creating a hole so i need to replace that, shouldn't cost much at all. Also, i have been hearing a grinding noise when i take off, and we noticed the catalytic converter was hitting the frame, so i'm hoping thats all it is, this was being caused by worn out Motor mounts. The engine was moving more than it should causing the cat and flex pipeto bend more than it should, thisis also the cause of mysmall exhaust leak.SOOOO i got an excuse to get the race MM inserts!! anyway even though there were some other probs I'm so damn happy the evap codes will be gone, I HOPE! the other stuff shouldn't be too much to fix which doesn't bother me at all.also, i'll get to work on it with my friend at his dad's shop, so it will save me money.

o ya he hooked me up, to fix the hose, rebuild the cv and the labor, cost me a little over 100 bucks!

I have 2 EVAP codes, Small leak and Medium leak. Its annoying. What hoses are the EVAP ones so I can see if they're cracked?

 

They are the two hoses under your TB. They look like they connect to your tranny but they don't. Pull them both off, start the car and take a quick drive because usually the computer takes a little time to check the sensors and delete the code on it's own.

You might get a little red fluid coming out but that's just the junk that's been building up...
