Hey guys, when putting a 2.4l motor (out of say a PT cruiser) into a neon, what do you do electronics-wise? change whole wiring harness? Get a stand-alone job for the motor? Thanks guys...

 

I think you have to change the whole harness.

 

damn...and any idea how the timing works on a 2.4? I mean with the whole DOHC thing...is there a sensor on each cam? I'm guessing the issue is with the SOHC-DOHC change

 

Usually you just get a totalled car and take everything from it and put it into the other car. At least thats what I have heard to do with the SRT-4 swap. I have seen pictures of the process and the neon engine bay is completely empty. The only thing you can see it the neons frame. There is absolutely nothing left. Then they just take the other car and put its junk into it.
