I have a 2gn neon my battey wont charge up so everytime i go somewhere i have to jump it. i was wondering if it is my altinator or a battery or something any help or tips would be great thanks.

 

check your terminals and make sure there secure...ugh...thats about all i can say...Sorry!

 

Hmmm. have you had the battery checked. They should be able to check it at autozone. You could have a bad cell in the battery, but I don't know why you would be able to jump it if that was the case.

 

My battery just died on me... dead! so dead that the headlights wouldn't even come on. Was able to jump it and drive it home 3 miles on the alternator by itself. Just replace the battery... You can get cheapy ones at walmart for $42 here in hawaii so they got to be cheaper on the mainland.

Have your electrical checked at Schucks, Autozone, Les Schwab tires (yep they do batteries) or whatever you have in your area. They usually check for free. You just want to make sure your electrical is okay and it's just the battery.

its the battery. i bet it fails a load test. if it was the alternator, the car wouldnt run

 

I took my car to Shucks and they test my battery. It read "Unstable Battery" so I just handed it to my friend over the counter and told him to get me a new one.

Also I don't think jumping it would cure an electrical problem. I agree with graphite. just get a new one.
