Finally got my boss to order me some black powdercoat so I could try it out on my winter rims. I had the chrome plating flaking off, so I needed to do something before winter anyways... Gonna get these rims on so I can see if I like the black on my car or not? But I have some other bits and pieces I can do as well. Came out pretty sweet, can't wait to see how they look on the car!

Yeah they look really nice been wanting to do that to my stock rims but should be getting my new rims soon and going to use them through all weather. Winter where I live not that bad we have some nice winter days to go cruizen around. But I might try to powercoat mine black and put a custom red lip on mine .

I used to do the powder coating at work before I switched to a machinist... Took alot of sanblasting and sanding to get them ready to powder coat. That damn chrome plating sucks!!!!! It was peeling off anyways, kind of why I tried it out. If they look good I may even try to do my 17's... And I'm trying to think of more stuff to do, maybe that rear exhaustsectionall black including the tips!

And I just dropped them off to my friends so he can mount them Monday, so I should have them on Tues night. Think I should have put a few coats of clear coat on them, I'll def do that for my 17's if I do em.Will post up a few pics for everyone to see how they look on the car. Thanks for all the comments, really happy how they came out!!!Wish I had the time to do this on the side, should see if it would be possible.

 

I miss my 17's already! Man I just don't know if I like black rims on a blue car... Anyone else thinks it looks weird? I was gonna do my 17's but think I may hold off for a while! God the stock rims look dorky now!!! LOL

 

Black rims looks good on just about anything...but they're little girly man 15' rims, thus the whackness.
