Default RE: Oil Question

most srt and neon owners use mobil one full syntetic

Q: What oil should I use?
A: From 00-04 DCx recommends 5w-30 while the 2005 has 5w-20 as the recommended oil viscosity. However, this change is irrelevant and either can be used in ALL 2nd Gen Neon’s.

Default RE: Oil Question

Simple our engines like 5W-30 GF-4 API rated SM motor oil. Now if you run 3k or under run YOUR favorite brand and be Happy. If you like to go 5-10K then Synthetics like Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and Pennzoil Platinum are great.

The best for SUPER HARD driving is probably Redline Oil.
The best for long drain intervals is probably Amsoil with an Amsoil EaO filter.

For the above listed oils the use of a good filter is recommended. Wix/Napa Gold fills that role superbly. Other decent choices would be Purolator Pure One, Mobil 1 and even K&N is decent.

Would not use Mopar as they are sometimes rebranded FRAM. Yuck. Just say no to the orange can.
