Default s4rem engine?

hi, im not new to the forum but ever rarely do i post or reply to any threads i just read. im not sure if any one knew this or heard about s4rem. i have an 2002 r/t, now for the most part i thought i had a 420a motor with magnum parts. i spent a lot of time trying to find the exact engine code for it i had this feeling it was not a 420a like most of the internet says. after googling once more i found a mits forum that discusses the matter as well (420a a mits motor or dodge motor). they say the magnum motor is "s4rem" which is the sohc magnum motor. i havent seenanything else on "s4rem", has anyone heard about this?

EDIT: Correction... thanks 03neonRT

SOHC 2.0l - "S4RE" or "ECB"
DOHC 2.0l - "D4RE" or "ECC"
DOHC 2.4l Turbo (SRT-4)- "A855"
DOHC 2.4l Turbo (PT GT) - "A853"

The 420a is essentially a D4RE with the exhaust and intake ports on the opposite ends of the head. The cam gears are still on the passenger side.

The R/T "Magnum" engine has two designations: "S4REM" and "ECH".

Then like Graphite posted with a few changes ...

SOHC 2.0l - "S4RE" or "ECB"
DOHC 2.0l - "D4RE" or "ECC"
DOHC 2.4l Turbo (SRT-4)- "A855"
DOHC 2.4l Turbo (PT GT) - "A853"

I was trying not to confuse him... but yours is a more thorough answer. And for some reason i always mix up the PT and the SRT-4. As i've mentioned many times before, i do not know everything.
