How do I fix this problem.

I have a check engine light for
P0551 Power Steering Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Replace the sensor, its on the driver side, just follow the hoses. I paid like $30 for it at autozone, just be careful of the steering fluid coming out.

What does the power steering switch on the pressure line do..1997 dakota 2.5 motor Thank you

same thing, I had the 96 dak with a 2.5, it just makes the engine speed up when pressure is used (turning back an forth etc)


That's one truck I should'a never ever got rid of......
