back in 61 my uncle had a 61 plymouth that would do 110 in 2nd gear 145 in 3rd(3 speed standard) in a 1/4 mile he only had to shift once, now if only my neon could have power like that it would be something crazy.
p.s. that was only with a shift kit and 4.85 rear end gears.

idk wen i topped my car out i was in 5th gear and i got it up to 135mph and it wouldnt go farther, it was also near redline so i let off. Isnt it bad to keep the revs past 6000 or on redline?

Yes it is bad!, you should not be hitting the redline for an excessive amount time unless you have components that can handle it! and Thanks for bringing back this old topic!

I've only gotten to 105
, and then it really started to slow, but anyway, just wondering if you have MS, don't u have full control meaning you can choose when your rev, and speed limiters are?? Or do u actually need to replace the stock ecu and then get a standalone to pretty much have full control???

wow kids bringin up a dead post lol the stock top speed is 119 i believe then your car shuts off. ive gotten it up to 115 then ran out of free road and megasquirt can do away with rev limiters

Where can you buy a performance computer (or whatever it is that you need) to take the top speed govenor off of your car? I top out at about 117-120 but I feel like my car could go faster (you know what I mean?) I hit the top speed really fast and then it's just like it can't go any farther, like there's a wall stopping me from going faster. What do I need to fix this and where can I buy one? Any good websites selling these? Thanks for the help! =]

i have went 117 when racing a mustang gt, and said before, you do not need fifth to get there, i am not even redlining, in fourth, my car was pulling and pulling hard when i was going it, unfortantaly the mustang ended up passing me[:@] but i spanked him to 117
