here is how ya do it:
1. put a jack under the passenger side of the motor (with a block of wood) and just put a little pressure on it.
2. Remove the passenger side motor mount.
3. crank the jack so the passenger side of the motor comes up a few inches
4. just to the left of the wheel the belt sits on closest to the front of the car ther is a tensioner, in the middle it has a square where a socket wrench will fit, pop the wrench in ther and turn it and it will lostin the belt enough to pull off. i used a breaker bar to make it easer.
5. to install the new belt do the same thing in reverse order!!!

REMOVAL
POWER STEERING PUMP AND AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR BELT
1. Using a 17 mm wrench, rotate belt tensioner clockwise (Fig. 2) until belt can be removed from power steering pump pulley. Gently, release spring tension on tensioner.

2. Remove the drive belt (Fig. 3).

INSTALLATION
NOTE: When installing drive belt on the pulleys, make sure that belt is properly routed and all V-grooves make proper contact with pulley grooves.
POWER STEERING PUMP AND AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR BELT
1. Install the drive belt (Fig. 3) over all the pulleys except for the power steering pump pulley.
2. Using a 17 mm wrench, rotate belt tensioner clockwise (Fig. 2) until belt can be installed on the power steering pulley Release spring tension onto belt.
3. After belt is installed, inspect belt length indicator marks (Fig. 7). The indicator mark should be within the minimum belt length and maximum belt length marks. On a new belt, the indicator mark should align approximately with the nominal belt length mark.

Alternator/Generator Belt
REMOVAL
GENERATOR BELT
1. Remove power steering pump/air conditioning compressor drive belt.
2. Loosen generator locking nut (Fig. 4).

3. Remove accessory drive belt splash shield (Fig. 5).
4. Loosen generator pivot bolt (Fig. 4).
5. Loosen generator adjusting bolt until generator belt can be removed (Fig. 4).
6. Remove generator belt.

INSTALLATION
NOTE: When installing drive belt on the pulleys, make sure that belt is properly routed and all V-grooves make proper contact with pulley grooves.
GENERATOR BELT
1. Install belt around pulleys (Fig. 3).

2. Adjust belt tension by tightening adjusting bolt (Fig. 4).
3. Tighten generator pivot bolt to 40 ft. lbs (Fig. 4).
4. Install accessory drive belt splash shield (Fig. 5).
5. Tighten generator locking nut to 40 ft. lbs (Fig. 4).
6. Install power steering pump/air conditioning compressor drive belt.
