Default Need Help regarding 48 offset wheels

I am currently running 17x7 offset 40 on my 205/40/17 tires. There is a wheel that I really want but it only comes in 48 offset. I was wondering if I could put on a wheel with a 48 offset on my car without any problems. Are spacers required? Will it destroy handling or create problems down the road?

Whoa thats a crazy high offset...you'll have fitment issues with it hitting the suspension and I wouldnt suggest using spacers to make these fit either.
