Default Smell of gas

I have Dodge Neon 2000 with 88,000 miles. For the last few weeks I smell gas when I turn the A/C on with vent from outside open or Just let the outside air come in by setting the A/C mode to vent from outside.

Any thoughts? Is it something serious? I looked under the hood and don't see any fuel leaks (apparently).

Default RE: Smell of gas

Well, today I started the engine and saw that no. 2 plug wire was vibrating - the top of the rubber boot where it sits on the engine head as it is pushed into the plug.I opened it and looked inside and found thatits rubber boot, plug head etc. is sort of black and yellowish black (from occasional spark?) from slight burn or soot. All other plugs and is=nside and clean.

What does it mean? Replace plug, wire or what? Or, is gas leaking from inside through plug etc?Fairly easy or I need to take the valve cover off? If valve cover, I guess that will be beyond me.

Please help with your reply.

Thanks
