Default Newb tire question

i just aquired a 2000 neon for a winter beater and have a real quick question.

I know the stock tire size is 185/65/14 but i need some winter tires and i found a used set online for dirty dirty cheap but the size is 195/70/14. Anyone know if these will still fit? Please say yes because they are so dirty cheap.

I would want to say yes?

but I'm deff no expert... the diameter of the mout is the same... but the other 2 are off,,, If they dont they would probably be too wide... if you dont have a drop on it (doubt you do) then the diameter of the tire might not be a problem, just the width would all I'd be worried about. get another opinnion

The stock 14's are 5.5" wide, compared to the other wheels that are 6" wide...so that 195 is going to be right on the edge as far as fitment. Besides, you dont want a WIDER tire for winter so it would be kind of pointless putting them on IMO. Stick with the stock size in a winter compound and you'll be happy in the snow...

well i'm used to driving my Z in the snow with RWD and no traction control. I used winter tires that are 255 in the back, so even 195 would be a fantastic upgrade in the winter for me. I would have no problem rolling the fender, i'm wondering if 70 would be too tall. These winter tires i'm looking at are only $20 for all 4 in very good condition.

oops. When I posted I didn't see that his stock tire size was ../../14. I thought he was trying to fit 14" tires on 15" tires lol.

Sorry about that
