Oil in spark plug
Ok, so since after i bought the powercoated valve cover from mencingracing or was it meganracing? I've been getting oil in the tube thing that runs with your spark plug (not sure what you called them). Everytime i take out the sparkplug wires from the tube there's always oil in them and it seems like the oil is actually flowing downward because there's more oil on the top of the sparkplug wire tube than at the bottom. When i got it i only switch over the gasket that's around the valve cover (the long thin rubber)... did i miss some other stuff that i have to switch over? seems like the oil is spilling out from the gap between the valve cover and the sparkplug tube. Any idea? oh and it didn't do that before i switch the valve cover.
its most likely a bad seal / gasket ....its a notorious problem.. i pulled a plug the other day and found the same thing...cleaned it all up and no probs at all...but its gonna be the seal/ gasket .....u could try some kind of sealent just to make sure it doesnt happpen anymore
its called a "spark plug tube seal"
go to autozone and but a new "valve cover gasket SET" and that will have the tube seals in it.....
make sure to tell the guy you want the kit with the tube seals.
