Which one should I get, 2005 Neon SE Manual, or Automatic Neon SXT

Which could I get more performance out of?

 

The only difference between the SE and the SXT is a little more luxury... mmmm rear electronic locks......

The MTX is what you want for performance.

 

I would say, if yer ONLY goin for performance and modding the engine... the 2 engines are the same, but with the SE you would get the stick which most guys would rather have for performance/racing whatever... alot of people here I've seen mention that they wished they had a stick instead of an auto..and the swap is a big expense and/or alot of work...

HOWEVER, if you want some comfort items either now or down the road, the SE is NOT going to have stuff like cruise control, foglights, power mirrors, power locks etc. ..and yer also not gonna get the controls for these things, meaning some guys here wanted to add these later, and you gotta switch out quite a few things just to get them, just to get things that are already stock on an SXT

I bought an SE auto model only for the price at the time..now I just deal with stuff like no cruise, no power windows, no power locks

 

I love my auto sxt has everything nice on her . I hated the stock wing and had to upgrade to a srt4 now im getting a avs or pvo wing maybe . Since everyone ride has a srt4 wing I have seen noone have a avs or pvo wing. I would say your would have more fun in a sxt get one with a sunroof though mine didnt come with one but my acr srt4 did.

 

If you wanna push your car to the limit, manual is the way to go

5speed[:'(]. Autos arejust as fun and they dont need to be replaced as much as 5speeds do clutchs go out all the time and autos are way easier to shift.
