ive been looking for rods and pistons and i found a built 1st gen motor for cheap. will the 420A rods and pistons work in a 01 R/T. also would a sohc 1st gen bottom end bolt up with my head?

so both answers are yes? i just didnt know cuz i didnt think the 2nd gens were the 420A

 

Yes to the pistons and rod's as far as the bottom end I do not know. The upper and lower block from the first gen are the same as the seconde gen, but the head variations are different threw and threw when it comes to the head.
