Default so many new problems...

I bought my 2000 neonES almost 3 years ago with only 27,000 miles on it. It now has 75,000. It's always had a problem with the heat (a/c works great). The only heat that i've gotten from it is from the engine...which sucks because i live in northern indiana and HATE the cold. I've changed the thermostat so far, but it didn't help. My dad said to change the heater controlvalve, my stepdad wants to flush thesystem, and my brothersaid to change the heater core. Anysuggestions on what to start with as far as money/time goes?
My other problem with this car is that all of a sudden i'm having issues with it. The heat used to bemy only complaint with it, but it's getting harder todefend my little neon when people talk bad about it. I have an oil leak pretty sure it's the rear main seal (leaks about 4 qts every 3000 miles), my transmission fluid is leaking, my master cylinder (brakes) is leaking badly, I've changed my drivers side front wheel bearing twice on it, and it'sgoing bad again (maybe i just need to get it from a different place). I'm wondering if the car is even worth fixing. i owe $2,100 on it, and don't really want to get a new car, and my brother would be doing all of the work. Can i expect morebad news at the 100,000 mile mark?oh yeah, and my car didn't come with an original key...which makes me wonder. I've also heard that it should have come with a keyless entry fob too,is that true? can a dealership find the code and order one?

thank you towhoeverread my whining. i appreciate your replies.

oh yeah, i left a few things out about the heat thing. the blower motor works fine. when i move the temp ****, there's a difference in temp, it just doesn't get very high. The front defrost works ok, it just doesn't get very warm. and the colder the temp outside gets, the less heat comes out of the vent.oh yeah, and heat only seems to come out when it's on low, not medium or high.

well at least before the 100,000 mark you should change the water pump.

for the heat if your car is not over heating maby the valve in the heater core or the linkage one the temp controll is off?? and for all the leaks you have it sounds like somone maby the owner before you did not take care of the care.... nothin you can do about those besides new gaskets.... as far reacuring problems maby it is the person working on you car??
