Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD)

they use expected pressure changes due to temp and whether the vent is open and what not to check Evap Emissions system integrity.

Sounds like smoke check time to verify system integrity and then possible pressure sensor replacement.

how do i do a smoke test? what tools do i need? *money not that much of a problem unless it costs 300+ for 1 tool.*

found this out from the http://www.neons(dot)org web forum:
"NVLD is Natural Vacuum Leak Detection system, part of the Evaporative Emissions system, or EVAP system. Most of it is in front of the gas tank, except for the proportional purge solenoid, which is under the brake booster."
