so the time has come for the 30k tune-up. 1st) dealer or shop. 2) anything in particular that should be done aside from plugs and whatnot? 3) should i have the atx checked?

 

Do it yourself why pay for something that'll take you a few hours to do.

Tune-Up:
Change spark plugs, wires, check all fluids, change the engine oil and filter, check hoses replace those that are dry rot, service the transmission by adjusting the bands;kickdown and reverse, change the fluid and the filter, rotate the tires. and check the brakes.

 

So 30k miles is about right for a tune up? my 01 neon has 44k now, i bought it the summer of 02 with about 5-9k miles on it...think i should be due for a couple of hours in the garage changes plugs ect...??
