I have noticed that the factory cd player in my 02 neon never gets good reception anymore. Stations go in and out but with no pattern just whenever they want to. I have no clue what it is. Can anyone give me some direction on this one?

 

the grounding straps on the front struts may have gone bad. take off your front tires and you'll see a wire bolted to your strut. I read that these aid in radio reception.

 

mine are gone... and i cant seem to figure out where they went or goto or anything

 

I heard they ground the radio and help with reception

 

i read that.... i dont know where they are attached to though.... as mine are completely GONE

mine broke off from the struts and my reception sucks, when it warms up Im replacing them.

Go to the dealership is my advice. They'll be able to check it out if it is that important.
My radio works fine, but I rarely use it...I usually only listen to CD's.
