Default cold air intake

anyone ever hear of volant cold air intake? and what do you guys prefer for cai, i want it to be semi quiet when i drive normal, but kick when i step on it. thanks

Yeah I've heard of them, their okay inlet placement depends on the year model, Ice Man always works out well, I took one for a DOHC once and put the inlet under the battery tray in my SOHC. Try Ice Man or AEM- just make sure it relocates the inlet to somewhere outside of the engine bay.

I second the iceman, a bit pricey, but worth it. All those ebay CAI are garbage.

I just bought an iceman off of modernperformance and it was $200. Im hoping it will be worth it.

i had a volant cold air. it was 240$. it was liek made of plastic b/c it heats up slower. the air filter on it was like 4 inches wide. kinda hard to find a new filter for it. i just sold it. i herd iceman made a good one. i might buy that next.

Sure it was a 4" filter, most are 3" I believe, I know the iceman is.

well i put a obx mega flow filter. same size as the regular one. it looks about 4 1/2 inches. the one i have on my car now is just a regular high flow filter. waht i did was made a mount from the TB to the frame. and got 3 inch pipe and painted it jet black and drilled a hole for the oxygen sensor to fit into and then put the filter on the end . it just fits in perfect. not as loud as the cold air but still loud,
