Well in November I bought a cold-air intake off ebay and kept the ebay filter on their cause it was very cold. Well today I installed a K&N filter on the intake. When I took the ebay one off I rinsed it with water. Clear wter came out. The peice of **** didnt even filter anything for those 800 or so miles! My oil (Mobil 1) is still quite clean so it couldnt have gotten that much dirt in but still. Hopefully the K&N will do better. Now I glad I spent the $46 on it.

 

did you oil the ebay one first?

 

and another thing, when you clean the K+N one please use the cleaner and let it dry then re-oil it.
