I just had the same thing happen. Did you need to take the head off to get it fixed? Can you tell me how much it wound up costing you? I'm thinking about doing it myself but if you need to pull the head off I'm not sure how hard it is. I was on here looking if I could find some information about removing the head but didn't find anything.

you have to use a torque wrench when you install these or you will damage the head causing pulgs to fly out.

Its a good idea to remove the head since you dont want any metal shavings going into the combustion chamber. pretty easy to do yourself but you need to buy some special tools.

belive it or not these are waystronger than the old threads

go to the parts store and by a hanyes manual like this

this book will give you step by step instructions on how to remove your head and install it, including torque specs

The trick to spart plugs is to take your time and snug them to ream on them to hard or something will strip out then you eather need a helie coil or have it machined.

snug them to ream on them to hard
what does that mean?

have it machined.
you can use a tap to make the holesa size bigger but them you have to use diffrent size plugs. You also run the chace of it happening again sinceno one knows how to use a torque wrench

Wow I cant believe this thread was never resolved until now. You see the thread starter only posted once. He couldnt get an answer so he went somewhere else. LOL. Then the other guy who also posted only once asked him a question. LOL. I wonder what happened to those two?

Ment to say snug them and dont ream to hard. Be easy or be smart and get a torque wrench
