Default valve cover

self painting? what kind of paint did u use and clear coat? what about sanding? i would like to paint mine either an E-blue color or a metallic blue

I self painted mine. I just used engine paint from autozone. It was only like 5 bucks too. Its easy, just take off what you need. Cover your head with something so no dirt gets in while you are painting. I didn't sand or use a clear coat, just engine paint. Its pretty easy. I also made sure I didn't get any paint on the inside of the valve cover. I'm not sure if it would do any harm or not. Also, make sure the valve cover isn't too hot to paint.

i used duplicolor High temp engine paint. but i also sanded down, heres mine
