I am pretty sure it will show the mileage from the car the speedo came out of. It should be stored in a chip in the cluster. My buddy swapped out clusters in his 03 grand am and it did not retain the mileage of his car.

mileage on the cluster is from the car it came out of. The only way you can get it to be yours is by going to the dealership I think

+1. The dealership charges a pretty penny from what I hear and can take a week to get your car back

They wont change it...... There is no way... my friend tried when he put in a srt-4 cluster. He went to three different dealerships to get it changed none of them said that they could do it...

there's always a way, but it probobly takes too much time and is very hard to for the dealer to dothatswhy they say no.
Actually they do a dealer in which my family is close with said they could do mine but i havn't gotten it done yet.
For now i wrote down the exact mileage that the old cluster had and the new one so when i wanted to figure it out i knew how many miles to set it at.

just because they say they won't do it, doesn't mean they can't. I'm almost positive they can, whether they want to or not is a different story
