IIRC someone said you can use a Motorcraft FL-300 as a larger filter on the 2.0L Neons. Standard filter with oil change is 4.5 quarts, how much more will I need for the larger filter? I'm thinking maybe 1/4 quart but if I it'd take a half a quart that'd be cool since I could just add 5 quarts and be done with it. Anyway, thanks in advance. Talk to ya'll later.

 

i don't know... but i would fill the filter with oil, then fill to your dip stick says full. keep track of how much you put in for next time.

 

It will give you an even 5.0 quarts of oil capacity...

 

5 qts, that's perfect. I think I'm going to switch to Castrol Syntec at my next change so I'll be changing every 7K miles instead of every 3K miles and wanted something better then the Fram that I'm using now(I know, anything is better then a Fram,LOL) so the FL-300 sounds like a good, inexpensive way to go.
