Clutch/Tranny problem, haven't got a clue where to look.
ORIGINAL: blackflame
umm...what? do you mean like...power shifting? How would that rule out the tranny?
ORIGINAL: bone33
do you know how to drive without using the clutch? cuz if you can do that and it drives ok then you can rule out your tranny being the problem. 111k miles on the original clutch is a clue that it needs replaced.

i would do a complete tran fluid change if i were u.... just to be safe.... and you check the trans fluid by taking the fill screw out and putting your finger (whichever one fits without getting stuck) and feel down (towards the ground) the trans fluid should be roughly i think its like 1/8" or 1/4" down from the fill hole but it is ok to fill it to the point where some comes out of the fill hole
hope that helps....?

That sounds like a plan, I was thinking after the first mishap that a flush would be a good idea.
I have always known it as "Speed shifting" but yeah I can power shift without the clutch. All be it not that smoothly.
I have never replaced a clutch before, although it doesnt seem to difficult after I get the tranny dropped.
Oh and my Chilton manual calls the Sync Sensor a "Syncroniser"
Thanks for the help, I will give the flush a try and the clutch will be a while since I dont have a garage and it is still pretty cold out. Luckily I have a spare ride until the Neon is fixed.
