Default 2003 SE: limited view

I was wondering if anyone had any trouble viewing out of the left side of their 2003 Neon SE's. Some cars temporarily disappear behind the trim between the front and driver's side window. I'm also having a problem looking out of the left side, too - the trim is thick between the left passenger and driver's side door windows.

I can't complain, though, it's a good car - but the experience is somewhat spoiled by the limited view...I'm getting used to moving my head around more than what I did with my old Toyota, but I'm also wondering if anyone has had the problem and has come up with a solution.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks.

Noticed that on occasion too. People at the mall especially!

Keep moving your head and knowing that it is there!

Are all Neons like this? Would it be possible to "modify" the car, or to 'cut back' on the thickness of the bar between the windshield and driver's side window? I wouldn't do it myself, of course, but I know it would be expensive.

When I rode to work this morning, the blind spot didn't irritate me as much, I felt safer actually.

Gotta love that Cab-Forward design... Have the Same problem on my Brother's intrepid.. It gets worse when things get blocked by the C-Pillar. (the pillar you are talking about is the B Pillar). I heard in Japan they had this camera at some techno show. When portrayed onto a reflective film that someone in theory would be wearing, it would make them essentially invisible because a camera on the otherside would project an image using a different projector onto the film. In a possible automotive application, what would happen is the pillar (a, b or c) would have a reflective film on it, and a wide angled camera integrated onto the outside filming what's going on. It would then be played in real time back into the car, thereby essentially making the Pillars invisible.. Just an idea though.

thats a great idea, sounds expensive though. I think I will just stick with my blind spots and look.
