Lose power from adding dual exhaust? I haven't heard of that one before. I guess the needed extra flow from 1 pipe into two pipes could cause the exhaust to consume too much volume, thereby reducing overall backpressure. Plus any possible added weight from the extra piping could negate any minimal gains you might achieve. This is all pure speculation.

How are you going to lose power? I haven't heard that one either.

an exhaust setup like NeonSXT04s will not lose you power. what you probably heard was that if you go to a true dual setup which is pretty tough with a 4cyl...you can lose back pressure...when you lose a certain amount of back pressure, you lose low end torque...some of these ricers will take their stock b16 civic, remove the cat, add a DC header, and 3 inch exhaust...and wonder why their 1/4 time gets worse...because theyre taking a motor with very little torque to begin with, and robbing it of even more. if you went to a dual outlet 2.5 system from a single outlet 2.5 system, it wont make any difference....

Whatever you do,,,,,,don't get a Pacesetter system. Wait and save a bit more money for a good system. I bought the POS PAcesetter and had problems with fit, alignment, sound, quality control issues, and some a-hole tool head at the factory that couldn't care less.[sm=icon_flaming.gif]

After the fact, I spoke with several people who had similar problems with fit, and the internals of the muffler coming apart, etc. From what I can tell, it was just poor craftsmanship and design, combined with low end materials. I must also say that it was the least expensive system on the market, but it still should have been better. For the same money, you could have the Dynomax single outlet system that actually improves performance and sound. That's what was on the red Neon.

I don't think you will lose power especially if it is just a dual tip.

I was thinking about putting the same on my 03 Neon. I was probably going to end up getting a Borla Exhaust

The price is a little ouchy but I have found them for $594.00 elsewhere. (Reg. $699.00)

Thanks for the info on the PaceSetter Exhausts, mopartodd. That is good to know. I will steer clear of those!
