Default alternator plug broke

hi dodge peeps,
i got me a 2005 dodge neon 2.0, i had it for bout 6 mnths havent had any troubles with her but today i replaced the alternator, was kinda hard too lol. but during the installation i broke the lil "tab" on the plug that goes into the alternator. so now it just wiggles out real easy. i looked around for new clip, but it seems it is hard to get ahold of one, anyone have any advice to keep the plug in without buying new pigtail? any feedback would be apreciated thnx

so is this process fairly easy? my neighbor is telling me to just glue it in there with some sort of silicone... i got bad feeling bout that. its just those 2 wires going into the clip? u just splice them together?

Yea its easy. You have already done the hard part of changing the thing. I dont think silicone is going to hold with the heat you get back there. I say it would take you 30-45 mins tops to do it right. It's only two wires. Just a pain of where its located but I'm sure you'll get it. Do you have any salvage yards near you. Might be easier for you to get the clip yourself. If not let me know.
