Default Front End Covers

FEC's,

What is everyone's opinion on them?

I bought the Mopar FEC for my R/T because we are getting ready to take a road trip to Columbus OH. (commin to your town 71!!!!)

The damn book that came with the thing says that if the cover gets wet, to remove it "quickly" to prevent damage to your paint.

So I have to take it off if it rains????

I just wanted it to protect my paint on roadtrips. I'm not even going to leave it on the car all the time..

And, it was like a HUNDRED friggin bucks....

WTF???

i got one on my stratus...and i usually only use the that is on the hood, but i have the full kit. on long trips, ill put the whole thing on...everyone says how it hurts your paint and whatnot...well, i followd all of the directions that came with it...if it gets wet, take it off and let it dry.....keep a generous amount of wax under it...take it off very regularly...vacuum the bottom of it...my paint isnt fading..it isnt scuffing up my hood...so on.

I have never personally liked them. I have heard storys of the paint underneath clouding, but a few days in a good sun will fix that.
