Default Car Problem

Hey guys and girls. Quick question maybe someone could help with. I notice my car putting when i reach 3,000 rpms or higher. It only happens it seems when it rains or when it had rain the night before. I drove to work today everything was fine untill i had to go up a hill. I tried to give it more gas and it starting putting. I finally got up the hill and figured id floor it to see what happened. Well after I floored it the car went no where almost struggling to get past 3,000 rpms. I have people telling me its the ignition coil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, & air/fuel (car not getting enough of both). I have Msd spark plug wires, msd ignition coil, and a short ram air intake. Any ideas guys/girls. The car has no problem hitting 70 80 90 mph but it takes longer because the fact I have to tap the pedal in order to go. I cant give it the normal pedal to the metal lol. If ne one could give me some ideas please do so.. Thanks.

well check your intake cause it sounds like the engine might be flooded by fuel.sometimes if you get bad gas it will run like **** too.i had a friend that got his intake wet and the car got to much water humidity.another thing to check is your plugs, it could be miss-firing which is bad.im sure someone else will hop on this cause ive only had my neon for 2 weeks...good luck

check the plugs and wires first. I had a bad wire once and it only reved to about 3k then crapped out. It had nothing to do with wet weather though.

I replaced the spark plug wires and ignition coil about a year or so ago. I upgraded the stock wires and coil with msd wires and coil. But its weird it only happens when it rained or rained the night before.

Sounds like Ignition if it only happens after a storm. Check carefully. Have read numerous reports of MSD coil going out after a year or so. Try swapping you OEM coil back in and see if it clears up. Then try new wires.

Should I just put the oem wires and coil back on and wait till it rains again to see what happens.
