My trans went bad on my wife the other day. Trans will slip in drive. Tried shifting into 1st or 2nd and it still slipped.(2003 Neon) Pulled fault codes:
PO731 1st gear incorrect ration
PO846 2-4 hyd press sw ckt
PO944 Loss of hyd pump prime
PO1790 Fault immediately after shift
Has anybody had any of these problems before. I think the trans is shot and will have to be rebuilt.

 

your first clue to a bad tranny was you said your wife was driving.

 

I just had to have a brand new tranny put into my 04 SXT at 66,000 miles... Completely blew apart everything. Thankfully it was still under warranty. I'd bring yours into the dealers to have em check it out, and i hope you have the warranty still on it.
