They'll say you probaly damaged them and they were fine when they left our store. (You know like if you dont count your change by the cashier and then walk away and come back saying your change is wrong).

Yeh you are right...i dont have evidence, but i do know that i brought them in their original boxes. after i picked them up, the boxes were disposed...they probably knew that i was gonna use that against them so they got rid of it or seomthing.

mat, the 50 series thing, is a tech thing, at my store, we no anything 18's and up and anything below a 50 series tire we don't touch. The disclaimer i'm thinking about is when we have something that a customer wants done that is against policy, we free form it on a piece of paper. Like if you came in and some idiot took the rims, it will say "I your name will not hold walmart responsible for any damage to my rims during installiation of the tires. Then you sign your name at the bottom. When you sign on the computer it is just the whole person property crap that every place does. But unless you signed on a separate paper, i say you have a case.

So what do you think i should do? Ok here is the story,

Icame there with my 4 rims and tires in my back seat, they told me that i cant mount them on the car because the recommended sticker on my door is different. My exuse was, these are for a friend, not me. I signed a handheld gadget with my name. and they told me to come back within an hour because they were booked, and i came back so...i payed using my credit card, and i picked up my wheels and put them in my back seat and drove off. And if i am correct, when you balance wheels, you have to put these weights in the insode of the rims. Only 3 of them have those and one does not.

If i go tomorrow to complain should i take off my wheels and bring them in my backseat, or is it ok if i appear with them on my car and complain? because they were the ones to tell me not to mount them in the first place.

thanks dj...are all the walmarts in contact wih each other? are you a high ranking worker? can you please call the walmart in new orleans, Louisiana to support me because i dont know if i would be able to aruge and win by myself? the walmrt tires phone number there is (504)818-2058....and my phone number is 504-400-2342...
Thanks for everything man.

bad news is we only stay in contact within the cities, and even then it is a sibling rivalry thing. I'm just a tech and one of the better ones. Ok yes they are suppose to balance each one and static, just put them on the inside of the rims(non visible part). It is very unlikely that that one was pefectly balanced. Two ways,1)Take them off of the car and try to clean them up like pick rocks out of the tires, clean off brake dust. Then find a member of management, not a tech. Just be like me and my friend were ready to put these rims on his car and we looked and the lip was scratched, then we looked and it doesn't even look if they balanced it. they might give you a gift card or reimburse you and fix the balancing. Most likely you will get a gift card. Con of this is they might be able to tell or a tech might be able to tell if they were used. Choice 2) Leave them on the car and be honest to them. Just say these techs damaged my wheels but talk to them inside not in front of the techs. This damaged doesn't line up with curb rash and stuff like that. I say your best choice to talk to is the store manager. Good luck. The choice on which choice to pick is yours. The more truthful one might be better. I will warn you though, they will probally try to blame it on the profile or you. However you are the customer and didn't know. The techs should know better than to touch a 40 series tire in the first place. Keep us updated on the result

magic is right. walmart is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT the place to take a lower profile aftermarket rim and tire too. if you look at the specialty rim and tire store, the tire mounting machine is a little special. the rim, is placed upside down on special rims to prevent the lip damage and the clamps that hold the rim in place have a cloth or rubber material on them so there is no metal to rim contact. the back side of your rim is the only part they use to mount the tire. shouldve paid the few extra dollars to not have someone f@#k up your rims. but walmart should get them fixed or replaced since the TECH screwed up and mounted them when he shouldnt have.

Yes, you are right, I will just leave them on the car and i will be honest with them. To be honest, I really didn't know that walmart wasnt supposed to touch 40 series. I was just calling them because i knew their number, and they happened to agree to mount them. Do you know how long the receipt with last until i cant go back and complain anymore?

i would say don't take forever, the sooner the better. Because the longer you wait, the more they will try to say its your fault. Intherwerks is completly right on the machines. And just explain to them that the damage doesn't match with corb damage. hopefully you can see a little bit of yellow plastic because that is hard evidence from the duckhead(part of the tire machine). Like i said i hope you win cause it was bs today at work. Both of my direct managers called in and two techs called in. So we had a skelton crew of 5 techs for one of the busiest days. Suppose to have 8 and the managers. Well anyways mat, how much did you pay for the rims?
