Too bad you were always too scared to get beat in COD4, Graphite...

 

I've been contemplating how to respond to this post for alittle while now.....and I finally got it put together so here goes....

This forum wants more then anything, to help people and make friendly connections between people. I believe that to be the #1 goal of any forum. In order to do that, we have to have both passionate people and knowledgable people. I dont think you can just have passionate people, and I dont think you can just have a bunch of nerds either... you have to have people who love their cars and want to do more then just drive them. Now, having said that...

We have several very knowledgable people on this forum.....and very, very few of them are as much of a dick or ***-hole asyou are Graphite03. You constantly come across as rude, regardless of who it is you speak to. The only time your being nice, is when someone actually asks for your help, which you do willingly give. Now, this opinion is based solely on what I see on the forums, so if I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. However, that doesnt really matter. What does matter is the impressionyou leave on people who read your posts.

Yes, there are tons of idiots who think because they saw Fast & the Furious or something like that movie that they all of a sudden are experts on cars and turbos and etc.... but there are also a bunch of people who do know alot about cars, just not the particulars of certain things. You've helped several members on the forum, made some serious contributions to the Neon community as a whole, yet you continue to let people draw you into petty arguements.... I would think someone who runs 3 auto forums would be above that by now...

You and I dont get along, however I do agree with alot of your viewpoints. We have similar lines of thinking, if differering on how we get there, but still similar. I personally think it's stupid for you to leave a forum, when no matter where you go, you are still going to have idiots who think they know it all trying to mod mom's hand me down ride... Do you seriously think your the only person who deals with that crap? Do you seriously think that the rest of us dont get tired of it? We do, but without complaints, messages, etc.... we cant remove these people from the forums. Instead, members play games and attack these people on the forum.

Everyone makes fun of Airwolf, yet if people were to post legitimate complaints to the admin, we would address them. I've personally posted that very instruction twice, yet it was ignored. Similar issues with other members could have been adressed the same way. If you feel you need to leave this forum, then we will respect that desire. However, we do not delete member's accounts or posts unless they are in violation of the forum rules.

Lets see here. I remember coming to this forum and yeah, graphite got on my case. He was pretty pissed off and it was all a misunderstanding. So yeah, some might say he is rude and stuff like that but I have learned a lot from the guy lol. I would easily put up with his crap to learn what he has to know. There are very few people on this neon forum that I can actually trust without goinig back and doing research on the subject. Graphite would definitely be one of them. It would totally suck to see him go.

 

Yeah, i agree..... graphite may have a "*****" side to him, but he does know what he is talking about, he helped alot when i was putting my turbo together, and he also knows the ins and outs of neons, that makes him a very good thing to have to this forum. it will suck to see him go if he does decide to, and honestly i can get some really good laughs out of some of his posts... i have never had a problem with him personaly and i would hope to see him in the near future....

what i do not like about this site is that when people will bash on someone that just started posting, and is just askin questions.... that anoys me just becuase if u want this forum to get bigger and better, dont be acting like a dick to someone that just started to post, because i dont think they will be back because of the way SOME treat them.....

i like this forum and hope grahite comes back.....

 

I want to make it abundantly clear, that no one here is questioning Graphite's knowledge or what he knows about cars. He knows a lot of the Neon in particular, but he has a bunch of knowledge on cars in general. This is not the issue. I personally dont care if he stays or goes, but if there is a problem on the forum that he has a legit complaint with, I want to address it.

The one thing however that does stand out is that his attitude sucks, and while some people are willing to tolerate it, others are not, whether they know jack**** or know a ton about cars. This does directly result in some of the crap he is upset with, the idiots who want to go Fast & the Furious in their ricermobiles....However, alot of it doesnt because of the amount of 13-15 yr old kids who think cars are toys. If people annoy you, place them on ignore. If you get tired of their repetitive crap, make complaints to the moderators and/or administrators. While we cant immediately ban or remove people from the forum, we do have ways to handle and take care of people.

Believe me, we want to keep out the trash as much as possible, but we cant ban people when the only thing they are doing wrong is being born stupid...

 

yeah, i didn't think anyone was questioning his knowledge. I just thought I would say something about it. No matter the forum or place people will be ignorant. My gf was just talking to a 17 yr old kid who said he knew all about cars and everything about them. She doesn't know much but she listens to me...so she knows some. This kid told her that there was no SRT-4 neon, only an SRT-4 truck...what? And then he has seen all the fast & furious movies but hasn't heard of an evo. But his brother's camaro doesn't need mods because its way fast already...wow. All you can do is try and set them straight...its not like they are trying to be stupid lol. If they don't listen...yeah, i would pull out a pretty dick side and light them up.

 

I hate graphite, whata douche.

 

i usually stick to my 1st gen side, but come over here once and a while...

i asked him a few questions about one of his turbo setups when i was thinking trying to piece together my own turbo setup....didnt get any useful info out of him and the responses i got were ignorant bashing...

what a waste...

Edit: Graphite would help anyone if you ask him right. And, if he says it wont work just say ook and agree and hell tell you better things to do he aint gonna waste your time. hes helped me with things non neon related and neon related. i think everyone on this site has their guard up too much. I have been on many forums for many different subjects an you are all very up tight. yall need to chilll the fudgeeeeee outt.
