I got a check engine light on about 2 days ago. the car worked good, i was low on transmission and engine oil tho, i added transmission oil and i changed the engine oil and filter, i added break fluid, power steering fluid, etc. however, the light is still on and sometimes i smell something burning but i got no clue what could it be, i realized today that i added too much tranny oil so i was wondering, could this be the reason why the check engine light is still on ? how bad is this ? how do i empty this out to add more but at the adequated measurement. or... what could it be ? i feel the tranny a little weak too it kind of shifts into second then downshifts into first again and then shifts again into second ... idk its weird.. however any help would be really appreciated.
