RE: PSI for Dodge Neon SXT
10 is pushing it. If it would be a daily driver 7-8 is what I recommend on a blown set-up.
For tires, at auto-crosses i dialed in a combination from 32-35 on the tires. I whent with just about 35's in the front, and 32-33 psi in the rear. I then drove, did some hard cornering on a road slightly out of town, then went back and adjusted. I repeated until the handeling felt good.
It is really all up the driver, the cars modifications, and what you intend to do. So trying to test it out on similar conditions is good. Usually auto-crosses come out with course maps a few weeks to days in advance. Knowing this, and after you have been to a few races, you can usually tell what you are going to need and know how to adjust your tire pressure accordingly just on how it handles.
If you have changed from stock tires, you are seriously going to have to do it all by feel.
