Gas... How Much Do You Pay?
I topped my car off today because I have a lot of driving to do this weekend... I have 87 in my tank, so I added some "91 clean formula" into my car at the pump because I didn't realize before I pulled up that the 87 and 89 pumps were down...
Anyway, I paid $3.71 for the Premium.
Bad thing was, when I went to remove the nozzle from my tank, it was stuck! I yanked that thing like it owed me money... and finally it "broke" out... and the spring on the base of the nozzle came off the sleeve and was stuck on the inside of my fill port! I had to stand there and pry at it with a pair of wire-cutters for almost 10 minutes before I got the last piece to finaly come out, without slipping down to the safety flap in the fill tube... I chucked the spring pieces across the parking lot and didn't say **** about it... the sticker on the pump said it was inspected last month. Yeah, my ***.

Dam. How in the h3ll did that break off like that? Good thing you had some tools with you. Im shocked the gas station attendents didnt see you Messing with the nozzle. Maybe thats why the other two grades werent working. I wouldnt go there again.
Well it's just the idea of it... I am not directing blame anywhere specific, but the whole thing just upset me in general... kind of a wierd problem to have, and a PITA one at that.
I agree... but it did not end up doing me any damage (since I was able to remove all of it without damage to the fill tube). And in a way, it fixed the problem with the nozzle too... no more f'd up spring lol.
