Gas... How Much Do You Pay?
Gas prices range from 3.84 at sam's club to 3.99 which is what most places are at. I hammered my car the other day because I sort of pulled out in front of someone and I swear I could see my needle dropping. HAHA. Oh well, I don't do that very often. Always shifting at 3k gets old because my car makes the majority of the little power it makes at 4k and up. But I do average 30 mpg or higher all the time....
$3.99/gal Grand Rapids, MI
Ya kno, if there werent a commitee dedicated to keeping supply even with demand we would pay much less. when they see supply build up they stop production so that they can keep the "just in time" delivery constant. was it last year or the year before that exxon made 364Billion in profit?
I would say once we start tapping our domestic reserves the prices will fall but then the oil companies will just be paying less for it. without a national effort to cure this ill no one is going to get their head out of the *** and do something about it. any ideas?

The U.S. Department of Energy has predicted that the price of gasoline will jump from a current average of about $1.50 per gallon to as high as $1.80 this summer as production fails to keep up with demand. In some parts of the U.S., gasoline prices will almost certainly reach $2.00 per gallon. (Summer Bummer -- soaring gas prices - CNN 3/7/2000)
Worse yet, summer is typically when most of us are on the road. According to American Automobile Association, about 270 million people drive on vacations and other planned trips between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
According to AAA spokesman Geoff Sundstrom "If prices continue to move up and begin to reach the $2 a gallon level, psychologically Americans may not be prepared to deal with that and continue business as usual with the family budget."
Are you "prepared" to deal with $2.00 per gallon gasoline and just keep on driving or will you park the old "family truckster" for the summer? And. if you will pay $2.00, how much higher will you go?
How much are you willing to pay for a gallon of gasoline?
