I wouldn't go for having a VW Jetta. My step sister had one and she traded it in not to long ago for a different car. The repairs where to expensive on it. Plus if you got one with a sun roof you have to watch the seals or something on it. Water gets in and ruins something inside there pretty fast.

if you want an import with better handling than the neon, i would suggest a lamborghini murcialago. you wont have to worry about the tailend coming out anymore. just kidding man. sorry to hear about your ride. i posted about higher insurance on neons just the other day because of high damage and high repair costs. maybe get an oldschool muscle car?? my brother might part with his 74 duster. its got the 360 swap, cam, headers, weld rims, disc conversion etc. it runs low 12's at the track. let me know.

mjnd, sorry to hear, but the jettas are not that easy to work on, eclipse is somewhat easier. Plus most volkswagon have the oil filter in a tight space around lots of hot stuff.

The insurance company is about to assess my car to see what they will give me. if figure they have to loosely base it off of true market value even though they say they dont. ill prob get 3000-4500 since it was in excellent condition before the accident and thats what they evaluate. dealer reatail book value on edmunds for my area is 4900.
